A name on the bag. A name on the story.
HOW WE WRITE.
The Snack Journal is published by Chik’nPop. We make snacks, we care about flavor, and we have a point of view. You should know whose point of view you are reading.
Our shortlists
We choose products for their relevance to the story: format, flavor direction, ingredients, and availability. A shortlist is an editorial selection, not a comprehensive market ranking. Unless a story explicitly describes a real tasting, it is not a hands-on taste test. We do not invent scores, awards, or customer reviews.
Our launch articles link directly to manufacturers and use their published product information. They contain no affiliate links or paid placements. We clearly identify Chik’nPop as our own brand and distinguish upcoming products from snacks available to buy.
Our sources
For food science and labeling, we prefer primary sources such as the Popcorn Board, the Umami Information Center, and the FDA. Sources appear with each story. Publication dates and material update dates describe actual editorial changes, not a rolling freshness stamp.
A food article cannot establish whether a specific product is suitable for your allergy or dietary needs. Read its current package and ask the manufacturer when something is unclear. We do not substitute a category name for a label check.
Our imagery
Journal images include generated editorial illustrations developed from our visual references. They illustrate the subject of a story, not a hands-on product test or a final retail product. Existing product artwork and packaging mockups illustrate our brand.
Corrections
Send factual corrections, changed product details, or photography questions to hello@chiknpop.com. Include the story URL and the detail that needs attention. We will review it against the relevant source.
